Pada hari Senin, 10 Februari 2025, di BPBD (Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah) Kabupaten Magelang, dilakukan serah terima sembilan mahasiswa yang akan berpartisipasi dalam program magang MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka). Acara serah terima dihadiri oleh Ibu Nur Ainun Harlin Jennie Pulungan, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. selaku perwakilan dari departemen Tanah, mahasiswa peserta MBKM magang, dan perwakilan BPBD Kab, Magelang. Acara ini bertujuan untuk mendorong kolaborasi antara institusi akademik dan lembaga pemerintah daerah, memastikan bahwa mahasiswa mendapatkan pengalaman praktis sambil berkontribusi pada upaya penanggulangan bencana di wilayah tersebut.
On Monday, 10 February 2025, a handover ceremony was held at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Magelang Regency for nine students who will participate in the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) internship program. The event was attended by Ms. Nur Ainun Harlin Jennie Pulungan, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. as a representative of the Department of Soil Science, the MBKM internship students, and representatives from BPBD Magelang Regency. The handover aimed to encourage collaboration between academic institutions and local government agencies, ensuring that students gain practical experience while contributing to disaster management efforts in the region.
On 21 November 2024, an important activity took place in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, where a team led by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Junun Sartohadi, M.Sc. conducted a rapid reconnaissance soil survey aimed at supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 related to agriculture. This initiative was crucial for understanding soil health and fertility, which are fundamental to sustainable agricultural practices in the region. The activity was part of efforts to support the implementation of a Detailed Investigation Study (SID) in order to generate in-depth data on soil characteristics, land fertility potential, and soil management challenges in the area. Banggai Regency has highly diverse topography, ranging from lowlands to mountainous areas, resulting in complex geographic conditions. This diversity makes the region strategically important for various development potentials such as agriculture, forestry, and infrastructure, while simultaneously posing challenges for spatial planning and natural resource management.

Junun Sartohadi, M.Sc. melaksanakan kegiatan survei tanah secara selidik cepat dalam rangka mendukung penyusunan Studi Investigasi Detail (SID) di Kabupaten Banggai, Sulawesi Tengah, pada 21 November 2024. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data awal mengenai karakteristik dan kesuburan tanah sebagai dasar perencanaan pembangunan wilayah, khususnya di sektor pertanian, sekaligus mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Tujuan 2 tentang penghapusan kelaparan dan penguatan pertanian berkelanjutan.
