The Soil Science Study Program, Department of Soil, UGM had conducted online socialization to prospective new students through the talkshow entitled “Greetings to Prospective New Student Candidate of Soil Science Study Program, Department of Soil.” This activity was held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 13.00-14.30 WIB.
For you who want to know more about the Department of Soil related to what the lessons are, what lecture activities are like, what graduation can be, what work can be done, and so on, please listen first to the crucial information that had been conveyed by our speakers namely : Mr. Benito Heru Purwanto, M.Agr.Sc (as Head of Department), Mr. Prof. Junun Sartohadi, M.Sc (as Chair of the Study Program), Padana Barus, S.P. and Karina Assyifa, S.P. (as alumni), as well as Sabda Aprilia and Hanifah Lutfi (as active students of Soil Science).
Land Judging Training (LJT) is a training activity for students of Soil Science to further deepen understanding related to Soil and its Genesis. LJT is an annual activity organized by KMIT (Student Family of Soil Science) with the aim is learning together in the field. This time LJT was joined by students of 2017 class.
This year, the Land Judging Training (LJT) was held in Karang Sambung, Kebumen. The lecturer as well as tutor at this LJT activity was Dr. Makruf Nurudin, M.P. This activity was also a place to prepare for the Land Judging Contest (LJC) which is routinely held by BBSDLP-Ministry of Agriculture every year. It was hoped that by joining this LJT students will be better prepared to face the contest next year. Good luck..
Thank you to all those who have supported and assisted in achieving AUN accreditation for Soil Science Study Program. This AUN accreditation is valid for the next five years, 2019-2024. AUN (ASEAN University Network) is the ASEAN quality assurance network in higher education with the responsibility to promote quality assurance in higher education institutions, improve the quality of higher education, and collaborate with regional and international bodies for the benefit of the ASEAN community. By this AUN accreditation, it is hoped that the Soil Science Study Program can further improve the quality of education and improve networking within the Association of Universities in ASEAN.
Several lecturers of Soil Science Study Program joined the 14th ESAFS 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan. ESAFS is the international conference dedicated to the exchange of recent advances in soil science in the East and Southeast Asian regions. The conference provides a platform for interaction among scientists, consultants, and policy makers, who are responsible for the research and technology transfer of soil science, fertilizer management, and plant nutrition in order to cope with the rapid industrial development.
Dr. Ir. Mulyanto Darmawan, M.Sc is the Head of Center of the Spatial and Atlas Mapping under the Deputy of Thematic Geospatial Information. On July 24, 2019 at the Multimedia Room of MMA Building, 3rd floor, UGM Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Darmawan delivered a public lecture on the topic of Geospatial Information for Agriculture. The lecture was attended by around 50 students from the Department of Land and from other Dept. In his lecture, Dr. Darmawan conveyed National issues related to state preparation in following up Era 4.0 in relation to the field of Agriculture.
