The assessment method applied in the teaching-learning process in the Soil Science Study Program is through an assessment of the following activities:
- Presentation (10%)
- Quiz (5 %)
- Assignment (10%)
- Practicum (15%)
- Mid Semester Test (25%)
- End of Semester Test (35%)
Besides, in the end of study, the students are also assessed through this method:
- Research Proposal
- Seminar
- Final Defense
According to the proportion of the assessment methods applied to the Soil Science Study Program (Fig. 4), it can be seen that the percentage of assessment in the class also takes a considerable part besides the percentage of final examination. This is proof that the assessment carried out is not only seen from the final results but also throughout the learning processes.
The evaluation of the test work is assessed with letter A (with a score of 4), A- (with a score of 3.75), A / B (with a score of 3.5), B + (with a score of 3.25), B (with a score of 3) ), B- (with a score of 2.75), B / C (with a score of 2.5), C + (with a score of 2.25), C (with a score of 2), C- (with a score of 1.75), C / D (with a score 1.5), D + (with a score of 1.25), D (with a score of 1), E (with a score of 0). In addition, the letters TL (incomplete) are used. Evaluation of student study results is carried out regularly at the end of each semester. The results of this evaluation are mainly used to determine the study load that can be taken in the following semester. Student study success is stated in the achievement index (IP).
