Department of Soil is established with the purposes:
(1) to develop science and technology related to the soil management as the land element in supporting the needs of human life with basic, innovative and applied research;
(2) to create graduates who are able to consistently learn and improve themselves to continue to pursue higher knowledge both master and doctor degree;
(3) to create graduates who always responsive to farmers society interest at present and agricultural problems in the surrounding environment;
(4) to take an active role in land planning and development of land for various purposes of usage.
